Placement: Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors (the city limits, roads, water, parks, golf courses, neighborhood streets, buildings and the airport), and each place on its own verified point (City of McKinney GIS address points where OpenStreetMap has no building). Distances are to scale; the buildings and roads are drawn larger so they read, and where one would cover a road or a neighbor it sits a short way off its spot.

Seven school districts have land inside the city, and their lines don't follow city lines; we'll verify school boundaries with the district for any address. District shares are by land area, from a researcher's overlay of the City's and the Census Bureau's boundary maps. Sources: City of McKinney GIS, master-planned communities, subdivision plats, school district boundaries, schools and the Honey Creek master plan; City of McKinney Tax Information; City Council records (Legistar: the Honey Creek annexation and its district); McKinney MUD No. 1 and MUD No. 2; Trinity Falls (the developer); McKinney ISD (Frazier Elementary); Stonebridge Ranch (its own acreage); Community Impact on the emergency services district, Wildwood and 2025's permits. Seven school districts. Same price, different payment.
Send me an address. I'll check its district and MUD.
Official district links only; I don't rate or rank schools. We'll verify school boundaries and enrollment eligibility with the district.
Seven districts have land inside the city, per the City's school district map (its 2022 map lists six, without Celina ISD). Most of the city's land, about 73%, is McKinney ISD. Trinity Falls sits outside the city limits in McKinney MUD No. 1 or No. 2 (tax year 2025: $0.98475 and $1.05 per $100, in place of the city's $0.412284), and from tax year 2026 in Collin County Emergency Services District No. 1; the bill shows a Trinity Falls example for each MUD. Honey Creek, annexed in 2024, has its own municipal management district.
Before you buy
File with Collin CAD before May 1.
Trinity Falls pays a MUD, not the city.
Register yearly; hotel occupancy tax applies.
